From the Threshold Statutes:
The purpose of the foundation is to recognize the causes and practical assistance to solve destructive conflicts and healing of damages in the One World, especially those caused by science, technology and globalization. Thus the foundation has the purpose to contribute to Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation as a universal Schalom Service (Peace Service).
Main purposes of the foundation:
- International understanding, especially by the protection of human rights
- Development aid and development-referring education
- Assistance for marginal groups and handicapped persons at home and abroad
- Refugee help
- Youth help
- Environment protection
- Care-taking and assistance for indigent persons
The purposes of the foundation are executed mainly with: Own projects, adult education and similar events, and research projects and allocation of research projects.
Contribution to projects run by other non-profit or church organizations or initiatives which are executed by themselves or in cooperation with the foundation and which serve the purposes of the foundation.
Promotion of other associations and foundations, as far as there statutory purposes correspond to the purposes of Threshold, especially the promotion of the association "Ecumenical Service in the Conciliar Process".
