Statement of Accounts for 2009
Due to a donation to capital of 200,000 Euros, the Foundation’s assets could be increased and now total 4,181,000 Euros (including free reserves) in 2009. However, there is very little financial scope left for 2011 because of the current low level of interest rates. The financial crisis affected only one share investment of the Threshold Foundation and its house bank compensated for half of the loss on interest rates. Forty-two percent of the Foundation’s work is financed through returns on assets. The source of the remaining receipts is donations made for specific projects or for the general work of the Foundation.
In 2009, the Foundation funded its projects with 115,900 Euros and cooperative projects with an amount of 61,800 Euros. Furthermore, 24,600 Euros were allocated to supporting projects and 50,800 Euros were spent for the Bremen Peace Award.
