The Threshold Foundation is a private foundation that supports projects of its partner organizations as well as proposals of other organizations – these, however, only on a minor scale. In close cooperation with local organizations we conceptualize, accompany and support projects on peace and reconciliation, human rights and environmental protection. We assure our partner organizations – mostly emerging grassroots organizations without much experience in fundraising – substantial support over a fixed period of time. This cooperation is assessed regularly and modified if needed.

The Threshold Foundation is currently supporting projects in Israel, Palestine, Tansania, Cameroon, Bosnia, Croatia and Germany (Bremen).

Furthermore, the Foundation works in close cooperation with gewaltfrei handeln - living nonviolence, learning peace ecumenically and the Arbeitskreis Historische Friedensforschung (Historical Peace Research Group), which was founded with the support of the Threshold Foundation.
